Bangladesh Cricket Board paid tribute to the Players and officials of the Bangladesh team to the ICC Trophy in 1997, who won the tournament and qualify for the World Cup in 1999. A reception party was thrown by the Bangladesh Cricket Board at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the city last night, where crest and cheque of Taka Five Lac was given to each member of the team. The state minister for youth and sports of that tenure Mr. Obaidul Kader and BCB President Mr. AHM Mostafa Kamal were present in the occasion. All member of the team was also present in the occasion, except the pace bowler Zakir Hossain and Coach Gordon Greenidge.
