Points Systems for NCL (Longer Versions)

                             13th National Cricket League Longer Version 2011-12

Matches will be played on the basis of the following points system:

A.    For an outright win (NOTE: Losing team gets no point)-                                         8 points

B.    In case of a drawn match     (Team having 1st Innings leads)-                              4 points

                         (Team behind on 1st innings runs)-                                                 2 points

a)    For a tie match where teams have completed two innings-                                    4 points each        
b)    For a tie on the first innings score and in the case of no outright result or a draw -  3 points each   
c)    Abandoned or drawn match (with no 1st innings result)-                                       3 points each
d)    Washed out match-                                                                                        3 points each


18.2        b)    Bonus Points (1st Innings only):

       Bonus points will be awarded to the teams as per follows:

Batting:
   
        i)    Team scoring 200 – 250 runs   - 1 point      (+.02 for each additional run)
        ii)    Team scoring 251 – 300 runs  - 2 pts         (+.02 for each additional run)
        iii)   Team scoring 301 – 350 runs  - 3 pts         (+.02 for each additional run)
        iv)   Team scoring 351 & above      - 4 pts

* Additional Batting Bonus Points:
A team earning one batting bonus point will be getting .02 additional bonus points   (100/2) for each advancing run. This Procedure will be followed for all fractions after earning all full batting bonus points till the collection of batting bonus reaches the maximum of four (4) batting bonus points. For example, if a team scores 201 runs, it will be getting batting bonus points of 1.2 while a team totaling 249 will be getting batting bonus points of 1.98.

Bowling:

I.      Team taking 05 wickets -    1 point         (+.050 (1/2) point for each additional wicket)
II.     Team taking 07 wickets -    2 pts            (+.050 (1/2) point for each additional wicket)
III.    Team taking 09 wickets -    3 pts         (+.050 (1/2) point for each additional wicket)
IV.     Team taking 10 wickets -    4 pts

*    Additional Bowling Bonus Point:
A Team earning one bowling bonus point will be getting .50 (1/2) extra bowling Bonus For each additional wicket
taken till the total collections of full four bowling bonus points a will be achieved. For example a team collecting one bowling bonus point will be getting 1.50 (1.1/2) bowling bonus points after taking the 6th wicket and so on.

*   Note: Bonus points are applicable in the 1st innings only.
